This week we would like to send out a special “THANK YOU” to all of our library partners. We work with hundreds of libraries across the US and in Canada to purchase and remove any unwanted books that they have. Our library partners depend on us to help manage their ex-collection and donated materials, profitably, efficiently and responsibly.
How does it work?
Libraries contact us to let us know that they have unwanted material. We then set up a program tailored to their specific needs. We send safe indoor or outdoor receptacles for the library staff to store the materials that they want to remove from the library until they are ready for a pickup. When the receptacles are full, the library staff can simply call their local Discover Books representative to schedule a pickup at the library’s convenience. Our friendly drivers will come and swap out the full containers for empty ones to start the process over. This streamlined process allows libraries to reclaim valuable space and staff time. Our goal is to make it as easy as possible for the library!

Library Shout Out!
We would like to give a big shout out to one of our library partners this week! On Monday, August 29th, our Discover Books team out of Chicago, IL picked up over 11,000 books from the Orange Branch of the Delaware County Library in Ohio! Thank you to Brad and Karen Cowan of the Friend’s of the Library for coordinating with us to pick up these books! We are thrilled to be working with you and look forward to all pickups in the future!
